Barry Callebaut Group appoints new chief digital officer
On 15 January 2024, Amr Arafa will become responsible for driving Barry Callebaut’s commitment to creating an agile, tech-enabled organisation as he takes on the role of chief digital officer.
In this newly created position, Arafa will report directly to CEO Peter Feld and joins the extended leadership team of Barry Callebaut.
Before joining Barry Callebaut, Arafa served as chief data officer for IKEA for four years. Previous to this, he led various, large strategic digital transformation programmes, including at Mondelēz International.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt, and a Master of Science in e-Business Management from the University of Warwick, UK.
