Business Leaders’ Forum 2023: Video round-up
Sponsored by Accruent, E.ON and the Welsh Government, this annual gathering brought together food and drink industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities affecting their businesses.
Top ranking executives from across the sector debated issues impacting the industry, from the challenge of hiring and retaining Gen Z staff, to the continued fallout of Brexit and the lack of communication with Government on regulatory issues.
Adapting to change
In this video, delegates share the ways in which they adapted to change within their businesses over these last few years of turbulence, the tools all leaders should have to mitigate these headwinds and a brief summary of the day in their words.
“When you can accept change is a constant part of your life and you can embrace that, then it becomes an energizer, a fuel, and you can really use it as an opportunity to learn and to grow,” said Quorn product development manager Claire White-McKay.
“The last couple years it’s been about cooperation and really having to work, not just with each other internally, but with suppliers and retailers to really try and navigate it [inflation],” added Emma Vass, Ecotone UK chief executive.
