Coca-Cola Europacific Partners announces senior appointment
Goodall joined the group in 2021 as GB manufacturing director, a role that made him responsible for CCEP’s five manufacturing plants across the country. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Goodall worked for firms including PepsiCo, Nestlé and McVitie’s.
The new position makes Goodall responsible for ensuring the bottler’s end-to-end supply chain in GB is robust, reliable and sustainable, while he will also oversee its customer service process.
Javier Sanchez Gandarias previously filled the role but has been appointed vice president of digital transformation and productivity at CCEP, where he will lead a newly formed department focused on the delivery of key projects relating to customer service and supply chain.
During Q3, CCEP saw 1.5% year-on-year revenue growth, which equates to €4.8bn (£4.2bn) in revenue for the quarter. The group also confirmed that it is on track to complete the proposed acquisition of Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines (CCBPI) by early next year.
Committed to driving operational improvements and carbon reduction
Reacting to his appointment, Goodall said that CCEP was approaching an “important time” on its “sustainability journey” and that he was excited to work closely with the group’s customers and suppliers going forward.
“Continuing to make operational improvements, both small and large, is key to driving carbon reduction, and I’m committed to working across our entire end-to-end process to identify where new innovations can have the most impact,” Goodall added.
Meanwhile, CCEP vice president and general manager for Great Britain Stephen Moorhouse explained that as a “proven leader” Goodall has been able to demonstrate his ability to drive improvements and efficiency across the business since arriving in 2021.
“He will build on the impressive accomplishments of Javier Sanchez Gandarias, who has used his time in post to deliver exceptional results, while fostering diversity and inclusivity across the business.”
In other news, alcoholic beverages manufacturer Diageo saw its share price slump after it altered its growth projection in a recent trading update.
