The breakfast manufacturer was sold to US-based Post Holdings in a deal worth about £1.4bn, the most expensive acquisition reported this year.
This year saw the sale of Addo Food Group to Lloyds Development Capital and Glanbia’s acquisitions of Amazing Grass and Body & Fit.
